"The impact of social transfers (other than pensions) on poverty reduction decreased to 22.9% in 2023 (vs 34.7% in the EU), deteriorating over two consecutive years and moving to a ‘critical situation’.
The effectiveness of social transfers is particularly low in reducing child poverty risks (17.0% vs 41.4% in the EU)"
